Hello! Welcome to the Den Leader Crib Sheet. This website started as a Wood Badge ticket. It is my hope that this site will not just be a personal project, but help other Den Leaders looking for a quick reference and compendium.
Below are some important notes about this website:
- Quick reference to each requirement and elective. Scouting America has issued all new requirements and curriculum for all Cub Scout ranks on their website. At the time of this website’s publication, all ranks were not complete. All Scouting America documents and resources should be your primary sources for leading your den. This site is intended to only augment and be a quick resource to view while on the go. The new website seems like great and will be very helpful for den leaders.
- A few quick tips and tricks that may help with each requirement / elective. As we adjust to the new curriculum, the intent is for other Den Leaders and myself to add some tips and tricks that may assist in completing the requirements. This is an evolving project.
- Provide ideas and resources for Scouts with special needs. It is important to note that I have no special education, certifications, or training for Scouts with special needs. I have consulted with those who do in order to create this site. As well as using various Scouting America approved sources. However, all ideas are purely recommendations and anecdotal. I am neurodivergent myself and built this website to give me a better tool when I lead Scouts.
